Chapter 4 by Stumpy_jim Stumpy_jim

What's the nagi's place like?

It's a palace

After a few minutes of dragging me through various tunnels, Rada stopped at a door that sparkled blue and seemed ornate enough to appear completely out of place in the cave.

"Here's my home, Singh," the nagi said with a warm smile.

I nod and gulp as the woman pushed the door open; the light is so bright that for a moment I cover my eyes from just how brightly the walls shine. As my eyes adjust, I blink to see silver, golden and jewels everywhere; silk draped down from the ceiling which rose to five times my own height. So grand was everything, it took me several minutes to realise that my mouth was hanging open.

"It's amazing..." Is all I can say, feeling a heat flush in my cheeks.

"Do you want a nice spot to sleep?"

I nod, following the woman through a few more corridors and hallways before I enter a grand bedroom, with a bed larger than most houses in my village.

"Here we are," Rada said as she slithered onto the bed and coiled her body.

Watching her rest there, I blink."Wait, is this your bed?"

"Yes, it is," the nagi sighed. "I haven't seen a man in a long time."

"Really? Not even your father or brothers?"

"None at all..."

"Well, how long is a long time, any way?"

"Four hundred and fifty-six years..."

I nearly ****, but then I remember that naga and nagi live far longer than me or other humans, much like the rakshasa or rakshasi.

What does Singh do next?
