Invisible man

Everyone in the crowded street started and looked at the woman who had just screamed.

Annoyed faces were the only answer to the woman's claim. There was no one next to her, and the people passing by probably thought that she was drunk or high. They resumed walking, turning their attention away from her, while she kept looking around with her with a scared look.
