Into jungle

After all that swimming and collecting useful things, Johanna felt tired. Tired and hungry, to be fair. Her last meal was before the storm on her ship, so now her stomach was empty as beggar's cup. She checked her compass, idly showing north to the jungle, so she wouldn't lose herself.

"Alright, let's move." Johanna said to herself, for courage. It wasn't an easy task for her to march through bushes and leaves that made her more tired than a normal walk. She kept an eye on the sun, to make sure she followed in the right direction. In moments of doubt, Johanna checked her compass, just to be sure. Suddenly, to her ears come a new sound, like falling water. Northwest from here, if she was sure.

"Please... Be a stream of fresh water." Johanna said to herself, feeling awfully thirsty, hungry and tired. But mostly thirsty. She made passage for herself using her stick, and finally, she found it.

Johanna paused in disbelief at the sight before her. She had expected a waterfall, it was the sound she was following for the past few minutes, but the actual sight of the falling stream, and the crystalline pond it was falling into, and… was that a cave entrance she saw just behind the falling water? If it was empty, then this was an improbably good find.

"Yes, yes, yes! " Johanna walked faster and finally reached the water. She needed to use all of her will to not push her mouth into the water like some animal. She cautiously tasted the water, looking for any disease or toxic substance, but it tasted okay to her. Sure, there could still be some hidden illness in it, but for now she had no room to complain. Johanna took a deep gulp, enjoying the cold feeling in her throat, and then reminded herself about the flagons.

"Yes, I'm idiot." She said to herself, as she filled both flagons with water. It was good to have some water supplies, even if they are in jugs made for noble tables, not a field trip. Soon, both flagons were filled with water and Johanna felt full. Well, full of water, her hunger still reminded her where she was. She rose her eyes on the cave.

"Well, I should check that nothing is inside." Caves are rarely unoccupied, so better for her to be cautious about that. On the other hand, she didn't feel like she had enough stamina to build a shelter for herself today. But for sure it would be less risky.
