Lucas's POV

Tius stepped out of the truck, bleeding profusely from his nose.

"We are getting a fucking cleric."

Thankfully, all we had were some bruised ribs and damaged egos, so there was no need for any high power healing. Still, Lexi gave us each a small injection to be safe.

Even after slapping a pair of heavy duty mage handcuffs onto the **** Serath's arms, we were still nervous being around him. To alleviate some of our worry's, we tossed him in the trunk. With that out of the way, we all piled into the car. Tius left a card on the driver's seat of the truck he had commandeered.

"Let's get out of here."

No one argued.
Everyone but Tius slept on the way to the Guild office. I almost wish I was awake to see Serath get processed, if only to gloat. Regardless, I was grateful for the rest.

Sarah shook me awake when we got back to our headquarters. Like a poorly resurrected ghoul, I trudged my way to our floor with the others. Tius didn't even go to his room, just flipped into the couch, snoring immediately. Sarah chuckled and wished us goodnight, and even though that was technically incorrect, I didn't mention it.

"Hey Lex, I'm heading to sleep, but there's room in my bed for two, if you want company."

She flashed me a somewhat mischievous smile.

"Nah, I think I'll let you get your Z's."

She winked at me and slipped into her room. My tired brain didn't even bother to think about it.

I just sighed and went into my own room. It was then that I understood Lexi's choice..

On my bed, a muscular red woman was lounging naked and lazily touching herself.

"Samara."
