Inter Mission: Set Up

I got a sense of deja vu when I turned back to the set up. This was just about the same rig and table from when I was getting ready for insertion into the DCU cluster I realized. Had The Weaver copied it knowing what I'd used before or was this just how my mind interpreted it? I supposed to the advanced races of the Company's founders using a computer like this must look something like a Neolithic hunter playing with some pretty rocks. Well the interface worked for me either way, time to dive in.

I tapped on the space bar and the RWBY logo cleared to show "The World of Remnant: Race to Prevent the Fall of Beacon." Well now I had a pretty big clue what the main quest was, could have been worse.

Below that was the normal Company interface. World was preset and locked as Remnant, fine. Damn all those restrictions had really ramped up the Intensity, I needed some good negatives to get a decent budget. Huh going with 100% payment alone was enough to actually take Intensity to zero, I could take that and leave most things on standard with just Hustle on **** settings to bring me up to one. That was easy and I honestly preferred getting all the Company credits for a capture up front and if you didn't come back after 24 hours you probably were going to stay dead anyways. Perfect.

Origin was a no brainer with this quest, no credit capture didn't say shit about Substitute. Watch this Pro Gamer move Rose.

Now Bindings. Man I really loved Shroud, it was easy for captures and the power boost was great but I had to go with something else cause fat man angry. Sigh. Of course on a more limited budget it was probably for the best, Shroud upgrades got expensive fast. Tempest Jewelry it was then which was probably the second best Binding, and it was super cheap so even with just a budget of 365 I could go ham here. Additional Stock, more bracelets more captures. Basic Tempest Runes which lead to Advanced Tempest Runes Body and Mind. Jewels of Discord was great and Absolute Order could be really useful and of course Aggressive Initiations. Pair that with Sticky Fingers and as long as I could get people alone I could capture them almost as quickly as with a Shroud. Nice.

Now to round out things. Pocket Space and Pocket Apartment to have some place to stash stuff and people at need coupled with Apportation and Nine Tenths Law sounded good. Body Tune-Up and Athletic I got for free, add to that Martial, Science, Soul, and Covert talents. Which should cover both fighting and using Semblances. Science and Soul covered magic as well so you know Maiden powers if that came up...

Couldn't get Stress Defense back fast enough. Add to that Body, Wild, Mind, Possession and Information Defenses. No immunities yet though some of them would possibly be pretty vital at some point.

Now last but not least Universal Calibration to Rule 63 all the men cause why not. Sexual Calibration to make it more fun for me, and Normalcy so people wouldn't take note of my having a harem or what I was doing with them. That had covered body changes before in the DCU so it should here again, which would also be quite useful with Advanced Body Runes. I'd have to pick up Hybrid Runes as well at some point because I had plans for that.

Well that was all but three points spent which looked good to me. I took a deep breath and hit the button to confirm my choices and everything faded to black.

Next I was standing in a small bathroom, one of what my memories told me was on a Mistral airship. I looked into the amber eyes of the pale young woman in the mirror and in a familiar voice said "Showtime" then I flung my shoulder length black hair back and laughed.
