(This might become a flashback later on so you can skip it for now if you want.)

After looking at the screen for longer than I should have I dismissed the second screen leaving only the normal RPG status screen behind.

The one saving grace was that you could beat the game without engaging in any lewd scenarios as long as you picked the right choices and avoided certain areas and missions you could play the game like any other RPG.

That was the main reason I didn’t panic right away despite the ridiculous situation I found myself in.

That second screen actually only becomes relevant if a heroine became heavily corrupted.

There were two relevant stats to consider one was lewdness which accumulated with different sexual interactions and unlocked lewd choices and jobs. It also reflects on your outfit as it would change with each 5 points of lewdness you gained. But lewdness only unlocked those choices, it didn’t **** you into any of those scenarios and you could always just say no to that option and make another choice. Which meant that lewdness by itself is mostly harmless unless you reached a high level.

Corruption on the other hand was a problem as it leads to unavoidable scenarios. Once a heroine gained too much corruption she could no longer gain exp via normal methods and would instead need to engage in sexual activities to level. From that point on the heroine would spiral down falling ever lower if she didn’t manage to somehow clear her corruption keeping it at bay.

Corruption would **** you into scenarios which made you gain even more corruption. Make you unable to protest or resist if someone wants to take advantage of you. Basically a form of brainwashing where your body would act against your will sometimes and the more it accumulated the less control you had over your actions. Any changes would be temporary at first but exposed for long enough even your mind would be altered.

That was what I had to avoid at all cost. Thankfully you didn’t gain corruption that easily unless you already had some. The main way to gain corruption was by engaging in sexual activities with demons. Either being tricked by one or having lost a fight against a demon a heroine could be kidnapped and until rescued the demon would have fun pumping his corruption into her repeatedly.

If I played my cards right I should be able to basically ignore that second screen but the likelihood of avoiding all sexual scenarios was slim mainly because I have never completed the game that way.

More often than not the lewd choice was basically the shortcut to both gaining gold which you needed a lot of and accomplishing your objective in many missions. I also had no reason to play it that way back then as I enjoyed the sex scenes and lewd scenarios a-lot.

Thankfully I still had some time it seems. Claire being in the monastery likely meant the hero had yet to start his journey. And from the weather outside it was definitely somewhere around Autumn instead of late winter when the game story began.
