In the pantry

Opening the pantry, you find a nice Chloe-sized spot in between two sacks of sugar. You seat yourself between- wait a minute. Why does Elaine just have sacks of sugar lying around? Does she bake that often?

Whatever! You seat yourself between the sugar and close the doors, waiting patiently. And boy, is it boring. A few minutes later, Elaine opens the pantry door and saves you from the stifling boredom.

You begin to stand up, but stop abruptly when you notice Elaine scanning the pantry as though she hasn’t found you. She continues for several seconds before finally fixing her gaze on you and donning a look of surprise. “Ah, there you are! My Chloe is so sweet that she blends in with sugar just fine. I could barely tell the difference!”

You stare back at her with judgment in your eyes. “I’m not sorry,” she states.
