Chapter 6 by Ozwalt Ozwalt

What's next?

In the evening

I didn't receive any more calls from Karen that afternoon, so I used the evening to prepare for the upcoming conversation. It happened so often that adolescent teenagers hear rumors of dark forces and try to act in this direction themselves. Initially, a glass is pushed or they make a Ouija board, start laying tarot cards or use a pendulum. The science behind this has long been clarified and is also known to the churches, but if these children experience for themselves that the glass is moving, with several people present holding their fingers down and not understanding that one or more people present are guiding the glass, this can lead to serious psychosis.

I immersed myself in the literature and tried to memorize the signs that indicated the need to involve psychologists and therapists.

Around ten o'clock there was a knock when I was already changed for the night. The three girls who were probably involved were standing outside. I thought about sending them away again.

“I wasn't really expecting anyone at this time of night,” I told them.

“Didn't...” “Karen send a...” “message?”

Message? I was expecting a phone call. I quickly checked my messenger and actually found a message saying that the three of them wouldn't be there until later, probably around ten o'clock. Which was obviously true.

“But I'm already ready for bed,” I said, showing them my pyjamas.

“Please,” “Father, we” ”need help!”

I noticed that the three of them were splitting up their sentences. You know how older married couples can finish each other's sentences. But these were teenagers. And three of them at that. My curiosity was piqued. I opened the door wider and asked them to come in. I actually wanted to keep my living room as a private retreat, but I thought it was inappropriate to take them over to the youth room.

The three of them dutifully sat down next to each other on the sofa. I offered them each a glass of water, which they gladly accepted. Then I sat down opposite them in the armchair and looked at them silently. Three beautiful young girls, best friends and now bound together by a secret that I was supposed to reveal.
