Imaltians

The people of the empire gained their variety through conquest and old bloodlines still show what is favored or considered "true" Imaltian. The tall are favored over the short, the strong over the weak, a nice bronze color is thought to be the original Imaltian ancestral skin tone. Black, blonde, and brown are the most common hair colours with the varieties beyond being more recent additions of the empire and often held by slaves and lower classes. Aristocrats are often well fed and have bigger or wider proportions with fairer skin tones and soft features. Military men and women stand like marble statues with chiseled muscles, darker tones, tall statures, and rough hands and faces made from experience in constant war. The low classes are only slightly off from the slaves with weaker bodies from malnutrition while slaves at least have physical labor to thank for any amount of muscle.
