Chapter 3
by Starlight_Lewdstar
What's next?
Ignore her, the town's a lot more exciting a view
You glance back outside at the slowly approaching town and decide to pay more attention to that. It's not entirely unpleasant to have this stranger droning on in the background.
You noticed it earlier, but there are at least three grand castles you can see in the skyline, towering well above what you think is the most important part of the town- the tower. You've heard tales of great nobles, military men, adventurers, and merchants who amassed power in Kynsworth and made homes bigger than your entire neighbourhood. From what you've heard, the royals own one of these three massive castles, despite the fact that they don't live in Kynsworth, but instead in the trading capital of the country. The second of these massive castles belongs to a conglomeration of merchants known as the Fradia Trade Guild.
You glance upwards a little and notice wood and steel vessels, held aloft by giant balloons. Airships. Maybe one day you'd ride one of them? You know that it's the dream of every small-time merchant to own one of these magnificent vessels, the returns from the reach they offer are incredible.
They connect the continents so people can move about, but there are only a few airships in the world that can descend to the lower world. You've only actually heard of one... maybe when you're a great adventurer you can go on an adventurer on that ship, you wistfully think.
And soon, the entirely one-sided 'conversation' is soon brought to an end as the wagon finally passes the semi-wall that protects Kynsworth.
There's a lot more colour than you're used to, with banners of all sorts seemingly set up to welcome people into the city... well, with things like "Hailsburry Carls, the best cake shop in town!", "Life is an adventure, why not make it a big one by coming to the adventurer's guild!", it seemed more like the businesses were welcoming you, but it was still exciting to see!
About a minute later, the wagon comes to a stop and you and most of the other passengers get off. The woman who was talking to you also steps off.
"It's quite a sight, isn't it?" she asks, giggling. "I've lived in this town most my life and it never gets old... well, I guess this is where we separate, come by the Dancing Drillgon later, I'm sure you'll have a great time! Ah, that was an advertisement, I do work there, hehe."
And she turns to leave, walking away for a few steps before she turns back to look at you. "Ah right... what was your name? I'm sorry, I forgot to ask."
A bit confused, you reply that your name is Eleanore.
"Ah, that's a cute name! I'll call you Elie, alright? We're friends now, after all~" the woman who's name you never caught says, smiling at you, before turning and walking away again.
Well... that was sudden, which would be a good way to describe her in general. And, you realise, you have no idea where or what the 'Dancing Drillgon' is...
Well, you're finally here! You're finally in the Capital of Adventure!
Now, what's your first destination?

A far flung Adventure
A fantasy filled romp in a fantasy world
In the world of Einkar, a fantasy world divided into floating continents connected to a dangerous surface via ancient towers, you are a beginner female adventure (age 20) who just arrived in the large city of Kynsworth, the so-called adventure capital of the Kainswar kingdom. (You'll be able to pick what your rough background was, which will affect how your character talks and what options and abilities they have! It's my first story, so I'm not certain how to deal with having both genders, I'll look into it.)
