A far flung Adventure

As you sit in the rickety stagecoach slowly being pulled up the hill, you can't help but sigh. As you breathe in the early morning air, you feel a bit chilly. Turns out that cheap stagecoach seats come in a cheap stagecoach, and autumn this year is a bit more chilly than you're used to.

Staring out at the slowly passing scenery, you can't help but ponder the same question you've thought of most of your life: What's the capital like?

You remember the stories you've heard, the tales of great heroes and disasters. You've heard the capital is a den of thieves, a place where everyone is just happier, and that it's a tangle of people of all walks of life, where the unordinary is common-place and more things happen in a day than they do in a month, nay, many months back home.
A wave of anxiety passes over you. You've wanted to be an adventurer all your life, and in this fairly small kingdom of Kainswar, the capital is the best possible place for you to realize that dream.

Glancing around, you see people of all sorts in the wagon with you, a few who look like mercenaries, a tailor, a few other aspiring adventurers, some students, and a few people who you can't tell much about... just travellers, you guess.

And before long, a ray of sunlight peaks out across the horizon as the wagon finally crosses over the top of the hill, and looking out the window you see it, the capital; the sprawling city of Kynsworth bathed in the light of the early morning sun.
You see towering castles, buildings larger than any you've ever been in, and at the centre of it all, a large pillar, maybe a village-wide, if not more. The tip of the tower connecting the Kainswar Kingdom and the world below.

That tower is the reason why Kynsworth is the best place for an adventurer. It's a tower nearly a hundred stories tall, that leads to a much wider world, a harsh and dangerous one, but one brimming with all manner of treasures and discoveries to be had. Forgotten or undiscovered technology, magical artefacts that could shape countries, beasts that can battle kingdoms... they were all possibilities, and how could you not try your hand at venturing into such a land?

In only a few minutes, you'll finally set foot in the capital of adventure!
