Holly's Boss Gets Way More Powerful

Holly's work had always been important to her. She spent a lot of time at her office, more than she strictly needed to, trying to climb the corporate ladder as quickly as she could. She was very different to Maisie in that respect. She had excelled at school, worked hard at everything she did and been focused on achieving her goals from as early as she could remember. In some ways she wished she could be more like her laid back, fun loving younger sister. But she knew one of them had to be the responsible one, and it was never going to be Maisie.

So while the idea of anyone choosing their boss to reveal this curse to might have seemed strange, in Maisie's case it actually made a lot of sense. Graham, her superior as well as the boss of most of her colleagues, was one of Holly's favourite people. He saw her as something of a protege, and had helped her to rise through the ranks at her workplace quicker than any 24 year old could reasonably expect to, even a bright and hard working graduate like Holly.

He had always been kind and supportive to her, and not in a sleazy way that was hoping for something in return one day. Holly was far from stupid, and she was very aware when that kind of thing was happening.

On a personal level, he surely had too much to lose to risk throwing everything away by using her curse to satisfy his base urges. He was a director of a very successful company, earned great money, was respected and even admired by his staff, had a loving wife and three children, and was heavily involved with his local church as well as other community work. Every single thing about this guy screamed "Safe option"

And so it was that Holly found herself sitting in Graham's office with green hair, having just explained her curse to him in as much detail as she reasonably could.

"Holy fuck Holly, I can't believe this is real!" he stared at her new appearance in disbelief "So I could literally do anything I want to you, just by saying it?"

"I know, scary isn't it?" Holly nodded "That's why I had to tell someone I knew I could trust before the wrong person found out by accident."

"Jane, can you cancel all of my meetings for the rest of the day" Graham told his secretary after pushing a button on his desk "And cancel all of Holly's too"

"What are you doing? I have a really important presentation this afternoon" Holly protested nervously.

"Not any more you don't" Graham told her as he drew the blinds to his spacious office.
