History

In large strokes, Gaea's history is a story of the Eternal Empire, as it slowly grew from its seclusion in the Shield Peaks. Tantia's history is dominated by this history, but Europe has only recently (by relativity) fallen within the Empire. In the distant past was the Vampyric Empire, which controlled most of Europe. Three heroes from Tono ended up slaying the Vampyric overlord, freeing the continent from its grasp. The vampires, the race that the vampyres forced into servitude, had a mixed reaction to this, as some celebrated their newfound freedom and yet others mourned their loss of privelege. Today, the tables have flipped, and there is unfortunately discrimination of vampires by some natives of Europe, despite Imperial attempts to stop such.
