This is my final log if anyone is reading this, then I am dead, and humanity might just yet be saved. While I've cataloged the planet's sparse life that I have found and its effects. It appears that life overall on this planet is relatively minor. There is seldom a thing more substantial than 5 inches tall.

I have made efforts using the DNA stored in The Artemis' gene bank to create a retrovirus. It will invade the planet's natural life and change the biosphere. Hopefully making it more conducive for human habitation. Then if there are survivors on The Apollo, The Andromeda, or any other ship they should be able to inhabit the new land utilizing the unique biosphere.

However, the virus I have created will end up killing me along with most of the life on the planet. It is a small price to pay to keep humanity alive. I have lived 22 years alone, after all... If you are reading this goodbye, I hope my efforts are successful.

You read the document, you cannot believe this nearly everything on this planet was created by a virus merging Earth DNA with this planet's native life. It would explain why they are so similar yet weirdly different in an uncanny valley of life.
