Heroic fantasy

"I wish I was a princess and you were a brave knight rescuing me!" says Miranda with a laugh.

You lurch forward, off balance. As you catch yourself, you realize that you not only went from lying to standing, but you suddenly have on very heavy armor. You raise up your visor and see fifty foot high dragon in front of you.

Miranda screams to your left. She stands at the top of an enormous pile of gold and jewels. She's wearing a long, flowing pink dress with a scooped out neck to show off her deep cleavage. Other than her stacked proportions, she looks like the perfect story book princess.

The dragon inhales. You remember what that means and raise your shield just as the huge beast breaths fire down on you. The heat goes through the shield, through the handle, and though your gauntlet. You drop the shield and fling off your burning gauntlet the moment the flames stop. The dragon laughs at you with a deep, throaty rumble.

Seizing the moment of his distraction, you run towards the dragon with your sword. He looks down at you right as you stab his scaly red foot.

The dragon roars in pain as you yank out your sword. He moves his injured foot towards you, the huge claws threatens to skewer your chest. You leap to the side and grab one of the outer claws with your free hand. If you still had your gauntlet on it would have been too slippery, but without it your able to get a good grip around the toe.

You hold on tight as the dragon raises his paw towards his eye. Like a sleepy fool who has stubbed his toe in the night, the mighty beast puts his injured paw to his eyes to look at it. You swing forward, thrusting your sword through his eye and into his brain. The mighty beast dies instantly and falls sideways. You push off and land on the top of the mound of gold and jewels.

A moment later Miranda kneels over you, smiling.
