Herbs Needed

(Non-Canon route)

After looking through the overcrowded task board, Alyssa finally settles on a F-rank quest. [Herbs Needed, Alchemy], She takes it back to will to accept, and is told to find twenty Light-flower's leaves, identifiable by the bright purple petals on the flowers, and usually found in the western forest.

Will: "Just bring them back here to turn in, and the guild will pay you for the task." he half mumbles, already getting distracted by some new paperwork.

Heading out, Alyssa waves at one of the gate guards as she passes, heading back towards the forest where she hunted with Clark and the others earlier.

Approaching the forest, she notices its much quieter than it was before, with the sun beginning to set, most players have left, returning back to town or logging off. After about fifteen minutes she finds the first light flower, glowing an intense, almost neon purple color, standing out in the darkening forest, but as she bends down to prune some leaves from the glowing flower plant, she hears the unmistakable sound of wolves howling, and seemingly, not that far from her.

Hurrying, Alyssa prunes leaves from all the flowers she sees, quickly gathering sixteen of the twenty needed, but as she starts to harvest the next flower, she hears nearby snapping of twigs, the rustle of leaves, and the panting of a large animal.

The redhead stops, making herself still, against a tree, she quietly readies her bow and an arrow, watching for the wolf. Soon she sees the glowing, yellow eyes of a hunter peering at her from a bush, steadying her breath, she aims and fires towards the beast, hitting it's front right leg, causing the wolf to howl in pain at the sudden wound. Slightly surprisingly, instead of attacking, the wolf runs off, limping as it does so. Not wasting any time, Alyssa quickly harvests the last leaves she needs, and heads back to town before the wolf returns, with friends.

Back in the guild hall, she delivers the twenty leaves, receiving ten silver from Will, as well as her guild card receiving one point towards her next guild ranking.
