Alescia: The unyielding desert

The next day as you wake up everything seems normal. You find yourself alone in the bed, warm, comfy, living the best life one could possibly live. You think you will just lie here for an hour, but then your eyes snap wide open...

BANG!!!

As there is another shockwave rippling through the ship's hull.

"Elena, what’s happening?" you ask once you are in the cockpit, seeing the flock of red lights on the consoles.

"The reactor just died," she answers. "The backup power kicked in. But I'm not sure how long we can keep going with this. Probably not long."

"Are there any nearby planets?" you ask.

"Yepp, there is one," Elena says, steering the ship towards it as she speaks.

Lucky for you, it only takes a couple minutes to get there. By that time the backup batteries are almost done for, so you are glad that you can finally see a planet. But that is just the end of your fortunes. You recognize that the descent is faster than expected. You also take note that most of your thrusters are marked with red by the systems.

"Elena?" you turn to her. But she chooses to ignore you.

The Emerald Grace enters the atmosphere, darting through the sky like a meteorite. She continues to slow down, making the deadly descent to a slow crawl. Then the hull touches ground in what seems like a jungle, digging a hole in front of itself as it goes forward. At one point, the ship suddenly stops, the both of you now trapped whichever planet you landed on.
