Chapter 25 by OccasionalReader OccasionalReader

Who do you decide to talk to?

Head back to the Theater

{if Mierla met = true}{if tempAlpha = true}Mierla stands up, "well, better go beg the cleric to cast Lesser Restoration on me, 'cause I'm gonna need it." She walks out the door, her steps unsteady.

Anzolo then stands up as well, "I best accompany Comana home so as to ensure she make it there in one piece."

{endif}{endif}Having had dinner, Irina and you leave the restaurant{if Icarus love > 70} hand in hand with each other{endif}. Making your way back to your seats, you still have a bit of time before the final Act starts. The two of you idly chat about the day{if Icarus love >80}, Irina nesting her head in your shoulder{endif}.

When the curtain unfurls, the moon is out, and the temple up. Comana stands in front of it, wearing chain mail. The voice comes from the unknown, "the day does end, holy cast'rs mend, and princess of night, the two shall end."

The princess comes from the right of the stage, and approaches the table in front of the temple, turning to Comana; "Comana, dear, why are you wearing your armor? You know that I won't let harm befall you while I am present."

"Oh, I just wanted to be extra safe tonight." The princess's brow furrows, "why is that, dear?" Octavian enters from the left of the stage, "because we have aligned against you, fiend!"

The princess's face turns to shock, until it twists into a scowl, "so you have betrayed me, cleric?" Comana simply draws her mace and shield, taking combat stance. As Octavian approaches, the princess flips backwards onto the table top, two daggers now drawn. "And how do you think that you possibly can defeat me, who can flee at moment's notice and hunt each of you both down individually."

"By the might of the Ancient One, you shall fall!" Comana raises her mace, and sunlight begins emitting from it, overwhelming the gloworbs in the theater.

Looking around as the ceiling amplifies the light, you see that a drow sitting nearby is putting shaded glasses on. A loud hiss can be heard, and you look to the stage where the princess is actively hissing, and lunges for Comana, unfortunately (for her) missing her strikes.

Octavian reaches the princess, bringing his sword down on the princess, bright light flashing from his weapon on strike. When the light fades (excepting the sunlight from Comana's mace), the princess's body lies on the ground. "Now that the princess is gone, what now?"

"Comana, sweet twilight of dawn, we shall travel to the castle and fell the queen." He starts walking towards the right of the stage. "Octavian, dear, perhaps we should wait for day so as to prevent her from attacking us on the road while she is at her strongest."

"Oh," he sheepishly turns around, "perhaps you're right. I do know of some other activities we could be doing, though."

"Oh? And what are those?"

"They involve us getting closer to each other, but might require us to doff our armors." He approaches her, kissing her on her lips, and Comana returns the kiss, locking faces with him for half a minute. "Mmm, count me as interested." She starts to doff her armor, but Octavian stops her.

"Not here, for we know not what denizens of the night lurk." Comana nods, but you can't help but notice a look of disappointment on her face. "We can go inside the temple then. Surely the Ancient One shall protect us from any that would seek us harm." With that, the two go towards the temple, going behind it to its left and disappearing from view.

The curtain closes, and the lights dim. Approximately two minutes later, the curtain re-opens, and the cast is standing on stage. "We thank you for coming to this performing of Vampire Love Lost. May you part from this entertained and in good spirits."

With that, the gloworbs on the seats come back, and people start funneling out. Irina and you head back to the mansion, and the two of you head back to your rooms. As the two of you head up the stairs into the mansion, Irina turns to you, "that was fun. It's too bad that going again wouldn't have the same effect, seeing as we've already seen the performance."

What's next?
