He turns back

Nate found it interesting how being completely naked lightened his awareness. He was now much more aware of the sand that stuck to his legs and feet, even though those parts were just as bare as before. He was definitely aware of the disproportionate amount of sun his waist was getting than usual. Despite all his adventures, his ass usually didn't get this intense of an exposure to the sun's rays for such and extended period of time.

Nate walked a bit farther, farther than he intended, and father than the thought the would get without running into anybody, but it wasn't very long before he decided to turn back. The sheer amount of people, too many to control at once, put him on edge, but he also wanted badly to know whether or not his trunks were still there. He couldn't get this image out of his head of him returning to find his trunks not there. His powers money allowed him to see into people's minds, it didn't make him omnipotent. If a tree fell in the forest and no one was around to hear it, he wouldn't know if it really fell, so to speak. Despite not detecting anyone around, he cofound't help but want to reenact the scene in his mind anyway.

When he finally returned to the spot where he swore he left his trunk, he was delighted and terrified to find that they were nowhere to be found. This is technically what he had wished for, it was what he risked by leaving them behind, but he was also cautious. That was it. Those trunks were the only article of clothing he had brought with him. All his clothes were back in the car or at the campsite. The only other article of clothing he brought to the beach was a single shirt and that was with his parents, surrounded by all those people. He had nothing else. Truly naked. Those were his only swim trunks too, he would have to buy new ones if he wanted to avoid going swimming naked in the future, something he made a mental note of.

Nate half considered jerking off right there, partially because of the arousal of the situation, but also because he thought to get that out of his system because he was going to focus from here on out, and he didn't wan't his arousal to cloud his judgement later on. It also occurred to him that he hadn't been gone long, so whoever stole his trunks couldn't have gone far. They knew that because of them some guy was running around without swim trunks on. It also occurred to Nate that such a person might decide to stick around and hide in case that guy came back, but he couldn't sense anyone nearby, so either they simply took his swimsuit and ran away, a thought that caused a tingling sensation in his crotch, or they were watching him now but he couldn't tell with his powers, which was unlikely, but entertaining the thought also caused a tingling sensation in his crotch.

But all of this was just delaying the inevitable, his trunks were gone and they weren't coming back, he had asked for this. The question now was what was he going to do next?
