Gwen Anderson - New U Phone App

Hey, new contributor to the story/game here! I just looked into this a few days ago for the first time after seeing it floating around a while, and after checking through the chapters this feels like its right up my alley. I've been creating AI images for most of my other stories, trying to make it a focal point of my writing, so why not make my own branch in something solely focused on AI images? I've read through the rules, so hopefully I do this alright enough, hope you enjoy!

Gwen stares at the picture on her phone, sighing as she realizes what she's about to do. The 25 year old librarian has always stayed away from social media, always laid low to avoid the drama. But lately she's been feeling lonely... Day in and day out she's single-handedly kept the local library running, ever since she got her degree a few years back. Honestly, a part of her thought it would take longer for her to get sick of her job, but seeing her old friends from school living it up has gotten to her... made her realize she should probably make an attempt to gain some connections.

The image before her is supposed to be her profile picture for the 'New U' social media app everyone's been talking about. But looking at it now, it seems awfully bland.

She went throught the effort to set up a camera and have it professionally done, even making sure to crop out any unnecessary background details, leaving her in an uncomfortably empty void. Earlier that seemed appropriate, removing any excess that wasn't her in favor of something simple and direct... and yet the rather flat expression on her face is a dead giveaway... she has no idea what she's doing.

Sighing and laying back on her couch, Gwen decides to upload the image anyway, afterall it isn't like she has anything better to use. It takes a moment, before a small avatar pops up on the screen, a blonde woman squished down to chibi proportions smiling brightly and pointing to the image.

'Would you like to make any alterations before uploading? Want to see the New You?'

Gwen raises an eyebrow. Alterations? Like one of those AI powered photoshop tools? She supposes it does make sense, even if the idea of altering her image artificially doesn't sit quite right with her. While she doesn't have any plans to make any changes, it won't hurt to at least see what options there are...

Clicking on the button the little blonde is pointing at brings Gwen to a menu much like what she was expecting, except... where are the options? Before her lies a few strings of text, at first she's confused, but after clicking on one of the words she finds it to be an editable text box. Apparently this is even more state-of-the-art than she thought.

Having scanned her image, the app shows her a box full of descriptors that match her appearance. Apparently she can just type anything in, and it'll edit the image to match? "Hmm..." She grunts, before typing something in. "What if I do this..."
