Chapter 75 by JohnJacobs JohnJacobs

Goodbye, Gina

Goodbye and goodnight

Gina was scrambling down the stairs before I could react, months of intense exercise combining with gravity turned her into a bullet train. If I could get the Wildcats in shape like that, we’d destroy at nationals.

But that left me and the girls facing down a psychopath.

My mind reeled with the equations in front of me. She would absolutely throw me or any of us off the roof too if we gave her half a chance.

No, Marcie had to come first. I pulled out my phone and dialed 911.

“Don’t waste your breath. They won’t be here fast enough.” Lindsey said, her face calm and cool.

I hit the call button anyway.

“It’s unfortunate for Marcie.” Lindsey continued. “But, I think, this will give Gina an inkling of what I’ve been through. Do you think she’ll cry every time she has to pat her head and get horny? Jeez, that’s fucked up.”

Lindsey laughed. I lost it.

I charged in, saw her eyes flash as she anticipated my moves, she was going to try a juke and send me off the roof.

The nice thing about psychopaths is that they think they’re smarter than everyone, so when I came to a sharp complete stop in front of her and drilled her stomach with a straight punch, it took her off guard.

The phone in my off hand rang once.

I’m an athlete, but Lindsey has me when it comes to brawling. Two quick blows to my face reminded me that I was outmatched.

The phone rang again. I glanced off the roof. Gina was already there, at Marcie’s side, looking around desperately.

“Gina!” I shouted, and she looked up. I threw my phone down to her, just seeing her snatch it before another hard hit exploded in my face.

“That’s right! That little bitch and you were getting all buddy-buddy too! I bet she’d beg me to kill her if I took away BOTH of her lady loves!” She said. Her hands and face were trembling, her face looked manic and cruel.

Her next kick hit me in the shins, sending me face first into the concrete floor. I felt a blast of pain in my face and hot blood. Lindsey then shoved me sharply, and my legs rolled off the edge of the building. I caught myself quickly with my arms, dangling there.

************

“Emergency dispatch.”

“My friend just fell off a roof, she hit her head and there’s blood everywhere!” I shouted, putting the phone on speaker and setting it down. I moved Marcie’s hand off my head.

“What’s your location?”

“Noname High.” I said quickly. I stared at Marcie’s face, seeing it go pale. My hands shook.

“Is there anything around you can use to stop the bleeding?”

I quickly took off the rest of my clothes, but it was barely helping, it was soaking through way too fast. There had to be something else I could use. Fuck, fuck, FUCK!

There was a shirt there, hidden under a nearby bush. It wasn’t until I had wrapped it all around Marcie’s bloody head that I realized it was one of mine.

It was the shirt I threw off the roof, the first day I was under this stupid curse.

Two for two?
