Taking the device, she attached it to her belt, pressed the button and heard the hum of the generator as a thin film of barely perceptible energy covered her entire body. She knew it was a prototype regenerative shield, using the same energy as the BFG did, but was temperamental as the research journals on it suggests, having reactions with certain energies that shut it down for a time.

But that didn't matter to her so much, so long as it could increase her time in the fight without needing a medkit, the better.

She turned her head to a door opening and marched through it into the next room.
