Going Home

I wake up, blink a few times, then look over to the angel by my side. To my surprise, Mia is already awake, looking at me with a small smile on her face. “Good morning beautiful.” She greets. “Good morning yourself, my love.” I reply. “You’re cute when you’re asleep.” Mia giggles, and I smile at that.

“But I’m not cute other times?” I respond playfully. “Of course you are, you’re just extra cute when you’re sleeping because you look so peaceful.” She responds, knowing full well that I’m teasing but choosing to play along anyway. I chuckle and kiss her gently. Mia kisses me back happily.

“You can’t stay here today unfortunately babe.” Mia tells me after breaking the kiss. “Why not?” I pout. “I have to train with my family today. It’s going to take all day. Besides, you should go home, maybe get some fresh clothes.” She giggles. “Ugh! Okay fine, but you owe me cuddles!” “And orgasms honey, that’s the deal." “Quickie before breakfast?” I ask, grinning. “You know me well.” She says, already stroking my hardening dick.

After a quick round of intense and passionate love making, and a shower to properly clean off the previous night’s activities, Mia and I have breakfast. Chocolate chip pancakes, nothing too fancy, but eating with Mia at her place makes every meal feel like the best meal I’ve ever had. I make sure I have everything I brought with me in my inventory before kissing Mia goodbye.

“I’ll see you later honey.” I say. “Stay safe babe. I love you.” She replies, and I smile gently at her. “I will. I love you too.” We head out the door together and wave at each other, as Mia walks towards the main house and I walk towards the gate. Breathing deeply and steeling myself, I go outside the gate by myself for the first time since the attempted **** a couple days ago.

The journey home is thankfully uneventful. There luckily aren’t any gangs outside the Burgess property waiting for me. The bounty on my head that the gang leader mentioned, must be big enough for gangs to want to kidnap me, but not so big that it’s worth the effort to stalk me 24/7. I’m lucky in that sense, so far. With the number of gangs that seem to be out there, a lot of them more powerful than me, it’s possible that I wouldn’t ever be safe if the bounty was high enough. I shudder to think at what that would mean. I better get stronger quickly.

I stop off at the bank on the way home, depositing $2000 into my bank account to make sure I have enough money to keep up with my rent and bills. At this point, money isn’t an issue for me, at least in the mundane world. I could easily live on what I have for a year or more, and that’s without making any more than I have. I’m really thankful for these Gamer powers, because at least in one sense, they’ve made living a whole lot easier and more fun. In another, it’s made my life a whole lot more dangerous. That’s a trade that I’m currently pretty happy with though.

I also stop off quickly at a shopping centre, looking around and buying some nice bras in my size. Turns out that I’m a DD now. Who knew? I also buy a couple of different lingerie sets to surprise Mia. A red one, a black one, a white one and a blue one. The longer I live as a woman, the more I learn that clothes shopping always takes longer than expected, and it takes me an hour to be satisfied with what I have.

After that, I manage to make it home without incident. After sitting down to rest for a few minutes, I text Skylar, letting her know about the situation with Mia being busy training with her family, and asking if she wants to come train with me. She responds within a couple minutes, telling me that she’s also busy training with her family, but that she will another time. Shrugging, I try to figure out what I want to do, to pass the time.

I don’t want today to be a lazy day. Somehow, since I’ve gotten these powers, I’ve felt a lot more motivated to do things. It’s a lot easier to motivate myself to be productive. I don’t really feel like just idly sitting on my ass for days on end anymore, and that’s a welcome change. Instead, I want to go out and grind some more. I want to level up, get more powerful and see if I can figure out how I’m going to use the spirit crystal. Opening the monster table for a second, I remind myself what kind of enemies I can fight against.

There are three kinds of monsters that I haven’t tested yet, goblins, spiders and slimes. I don’t want to fight giant spiders yet, I want to be a little more powerful and confident in myself before I do that. That leaves goblins and slimes, as well as the higher tier versions of armoured chickens and giant rats, if I feel like it. I want to fight something new today though, and between goblins and slimes, I feel like fighting slimes first.

I reason that they’re probably going to be very difficult to fight with my axe or my knife, and I’m mostly going to have to rely on magic, which is good because I’m better at magic for the moment. I’m also guessing that they’re going to be weak to frost magic. It’s common sense right? Slime is a substance that would get brittle if exposed to cold temperatures, making it easier to break. That’s my assumption anyway, I have no way of knowing until I actually test the dungeon.

Before I start grinding, I open my inventory and take the new axe out. I heft it in my hands, still finding it pretty heavy. I take a few test swings, finding that while I can swing it, I don’t have much finesse or control in the weapon. I’ve always been one to favour speed over power, and my low level of strength means that I can’t swing the axe very fast.

I’ll have to look at raising my strength after I’ve gotten intellect to 50. I put the axe away in my inventory, keeping the steel knife equipped for the moment, and look around my apartment to make sure everything is in order. I’m a fairly neat person, so that’s not really an issue. Satisfied, I lace up my boots and walk outside.

I really don’t feel like going all the way to the trail to train. Nothing bad has happened so far, Mia and I have had no incidents with people trying to break into our training barriers or anything, even when they’ve been right outside her place. Granted, her place is a lot safer than mine, but still. Deciding to be a little reckless and hoping nothing bad will come of it, I open a dungeon for the tier 4 version of slimes.
