You decide to go to McDonald's, since junk food tastes great despite also being unhealthy.

Looking first left then right to check for cars, you cross the street and reach the other side. You pass by a woman pushing a stroller with a napping baby inside, then a business man on his way to work. You reach McDonald's and push open the door to the sound of a sleepy "Welcome to McDonald's" from the female cashier up front.

Glancing around, you see only a couple of people eating, with two tired-looking people waiting in line with the first person, a slender blond, ordering her meal. You wait until she finishes and takes her meal to a table, then you mentally call out the magic word and ask the other person, "May I go first?" He steps back without a word, with a small look of confusion on his face as he motions for you to go ahead. Looking at the menu, you tell the surprised cashier, "A cheese burger, a cup of Coke, and medium-sized fries please." She responds "Eating here or taking away?" "I'm eating here" you say, flashing her a small smile. Looking perplexed, she glances at the guy behind you then calls out your order to the chefs in the back of the restaurant. "That'll be $12.99 please" she tells you. You tell her, "I'll eat for free instead", still chanting the word in your mind. "Sure" she replies without hesitation, then stands there still looking perplexed. You turn around and see that the other people have stopped eating and are staring at you, most likely wondering what the hell is going on. Your meal comes, and you take it to a table to eat and ponder your next action.
