However, you stop in your tracks when you see her crying.

"What, what is it?" you ask, dreading the response.

"The Earth is gone big brother," she says still in shock.

You rush up to read the transmission, it goes as follows.

Attention Arc Colonists-

You are the last of humanity, the Earth and mars are gone. This inevitable event that was kept a secret to all but those with the need to know. You were sent out in a last-ditch effort to keep the species alive, with the goal we hope you have arrived safely to Ross 128 b.

If you are reading this, we have been long dead, killed by a malfunction in the solar core. Do not mourn our deaths but together with you, fellow colonists help keep humanity alive. We have sent you with stores of DNA from life on Earth as well as libraries full of data on our most precious stories, all of which can be accessed via the main colony computer. The Captain of The Apollo is to be appointed as the new Secretary-General upon your arrival, and if he did not make it, the position should follow the chain of command.

This news hits you hard, the Earth is gone, you and your group of four survivors might be all that is left of humanity. You stumble backward into your chair, you want to break down, you want to cry, you want to punch someone, anyone.

The position of Secretary-General.... follow the chain of command, you remember that you were made the captain of The Andromeda before it crashed. That means until further notice you are the leader of humanity.

"Rachel do not show this to anyone until I say so" you order.

"OK," she says.

You go in to for a hug, trying to bring some comfort to your little sister.

"Aaron" she stammers out "If we're all that's left, I want you to be my first."

"What" your head starts spinning, did she ask you what you think she asked you?

You see Rachel compose herself to ask again, "Brother, I want you to fuck me."

She didn't, did she? Your head is now totally spinning; you are stuck in place.

"If we need to, of course," she says "for humanity" she seems to be less trying to justify it to you and more to herself like she has been wanting this for some time.

She is a beautiful woman now you begin to see her less of your little sister, but as a sexual prospect, it is so strange.
