Go To The Party

Holly seems excited about going to the party even though it's for my class. Maybe, she wants to see someone at the party or she could just be excited that I wanted her to hang out with me before I leave for college. I'm not sure which as we pull out of the drive way to head over to Brad’s party. Then Holly glances over at me and asks, "Is there anything you want to talk about?".

I'm a little nervous about before, but shake it off. "Sure, we can talk. It’s been awhile since we’ve talked with just the two of us alone." Holly seems a little sad for a moment before answering. "I know. It’s just I’ve been busy with college and now that you are leaving for college it will be even harder to talk to you. I wish it was like when we were younger and could spend more time together."

Now, I'm feeling a little sad as well. "I know it will be hard once I go to college and we haven't spent a lot of time with each other recently. I don't know how the rest of the summer will go, but I'm glad you decided to come with me to the party tonight." She reaches over and puts her hand on my thigh as she says,"I hope you do well in college and make it big. Don’t forget though, I’m still your sister and I love you no matter what." I put my hand on top of hers before responding, "I love you too."

We both sit in silence as head towards Brad’s house. I will miss my sister, but I need to go out on my own and that means I won’t be able to see her as much. As I’m thinking about the future, we pull up to Brad’s house. There are other cars already parked in the driveway and along the street. We parked on the side of the street and walk to the front door.
Brad answers the door before we can even knock or ring the bell. He is standing there with a big grin on his face and seems to check out my sisters before greeting us. Which, I'm a little surprised since he has a girlfriend who would kill him if she saw him checking out other girls. Though, I have seen lots of other guys checking out Holly before.

Brad grabs me by the shoulders for a moment before letting go to talk. "Hey, Alex, I see you brought your sister along. I wasn’t expecting anyone to be coming with you, but it’s cool. The party is in the basement and we are going to start the party soon. Though, if you want to hang out up here for now it’s cool. I’ll let everyone know when the party starts." I'm glad he's cool with her coming along and simply say, "Thanks, Brad."

Brad turns and heads towards the basement leaving us at the door. As I think about what I should do, Holly leans over towards me and kisses me on the cheek. I’m a little surprised and it shows on my face. Holly smiles and laughs a little. "Have fun with the party Alex. I’m going to check on Lilly and see how she is doing. Maybe, you’ll get lucky with some girl tonight before you leave for college tomorrow."

As she walks off, she glances back at me as if she wants me to follow or maybe that's just in my head. Brad looked happy to see me as well and I think I may be the last one to show up. I could check on Lilly as well, hang out with Brad, or see what else there is to do before the party.
