A wave of panic washed over Jake as he realized he was out of time. He could tell based on Alex’s expression that she now knew what was going on. “Oh wow Jake. Would you look at that!” Alex said turning her wrist to show the watch’s display. “The watch said it only detects one male within three meters. The display is showing your size to be what I set it to the other day.” She said in a fake suprised tone all the while smirking. “T-That’s… Haha.. You had me going there for a minute. You must have messed around with it before I walked over.”

Jake said nerviously laughing trying to play it off as a joke, hoping that she might fall for it. “Sorry to disappoint Jakey-wakey.” She said his name like she was talking to a little kid. “All I’ve done is turn it on and this display is too accurate to what I set it to yesterday for it be pure coincidence. So these watches actually work, that’s why you wanted mine!” Alex laughed as Jake blushed out of embarrassment sliding down into his chair. “Fine… You got me. What do I have to do for you to let me use it?” He said sullenly, hoping she would go easy on him.

Alex’s expression changed as she put her hand to her chin thinking to herself. A devious smirk crossed her lips causing Jake to worry what she had in mind. “Letting you do something for me and your small problem being fixed just like that would be too easy.” She said couldn’t help but want to tease him. “How’s this sound? You’ll do what I say for a week. I’ll give you back an inch for every task I feel you did a good job at, though if you anger me, you’ll lose more. We got a deal?”
