Girls and Cardin not seeing eye to eye

“You never hear me out. You girls get upset and angry by everything I say and do?”

Ruby felt like saying something about “Ugh, We girls don’t get angry nor upset over anything you say and do.”

Ruby had to disagree with him. She knew she’d disagree with anything Cardin said. He was a stubborn bully. Everyone knew it.

And yet... She wasn’t really angry with him. Ruby knew, for a fact, that her team, Pyrrha, Nora, Velvet, Coco, and any other girl that she could think of, couldn’t really be upset or angry at Cardin. Even though he says mean things to Yang, verbally belittles Ruby and harasses and teases Velvet, none of them would feel any anger or sadness about it. It’s just Cardin being Cardin, after all.

Cardin was, again, unaware of this new system and yelled back.

“You so do. You girls hate me having fun and love to start arguments about how I’m wrong. Like with that Bunny, yesterday.”

Ruby was nonplussed at Cardin’s yelling and was apathetic about him calling one of her good friends, ‘that Bunny.’

However, she still found a drive to disagree “Well, actually... Us girls love it when you have fun. We actually hate arguing to you about what you’re doing wrong.”

About what happened with Velvet...

Cardin had taken the opportunity again over lunch to grab at Velvet’s ears. She really had to stop passing by him with a tray of food.

A sprinkling of heads turned to witness the scene, having heard the quiet squeak from the bunny Faunus. Some of the guys were pretty uncomfortable to see it but weren’t really willing to face up against Cardin over it.

Besides, Velvet herself didn’t even seem that upset. She was never upset or angry when Cardin did this. A bit disgruntled at the sensation of having her ears tugged but that was it.

Meanwhile, the girls, like Coco, Pyrrha, Nora, and all of Team RWBY, were all watching contently. Even happily, as smiles grew on their faces.

“Ugh,” Jaune sniffed, while staring down into what was left of his food, “I hate that Cardin can do that and just get away with it.”

Weiss, with her chin rested on her hands, retorted, “Oh, at least he’s having fun doing it.”

Pyrrha said, “I know it’s wrong but I just love watching him enjoy himself.”

Yang, too, “Yeah. Cardin having fun is like the best thing ever.”

Jaune was lost for words. This wasn’t new. They had reacted like this, even when he had been the victim of Cardin’s bullying. It wasn’t until things got serious that they actually went to resolve the issue with him. Even then, Jaune could have sworn that they had hated to do it.

Turning to Blake, who was also watching Cardin perkily, Jaune asked, “Shouldn’t you at least be upset about this, Blake. Velvet and you are, you know, Faunus, right? Shouldn’t you be the most outraged at him teasing her like that?"

Blake thought for a moment.

“If anyone else were doing it, yeah, I’d be furious. But Cardin... I don’t know. I just couldn’t be upset nor angry at anything he does.”

“That’s a fact,” Ruby clarified, joining the girls in watching the bully have his fun.
