"Shit, well, I'll take the couch, I guess," he said, annoyed.

"Tommy, the master bedroom is king-size. You can just sleep with me."

"Wait, what?" He said, dropping his bag in shock.

"What, afraid I have cooties," she said before opening the master bedroom door.

Tommy walked in, seeing the size of the bed as she threw the bag down on the edge. "Yeah, I mean, we'll have plenty of room," he said trying to come to terms with the fact he was going to be sleeping in the same bed as Mary.

"Now, it'll be easier for you to protect me from bears and lake sharks," she said with a chuckle before kissing him on the cheek and grabbing her swimsuit. "I'm going for a swim."

Tommy stood there, placing his bag down on the bed. "Okay Tommy, it's fine. It's a nice big bed. You probably won't even touch her. This will work," he said hearing Mary come out of the bathroom before she headed outside to the lake.

He headed towards the kitchen to unpack the food and snacks they had brought and put them in the cabinet and the fridge. There wasn't too much, and he was happy to do it, realizing there was some stuff that had been here for years, throwing it out when he glanced out the front window.
