Geography
Gaea has three moons, with periods of 11, 34, and 23 days respectively. Of these moons, the one with a 34-day revolution is tidally-locked, while the other two moons' rotations are not.
The world is divided into 3 continents: Oceania, Europe, and Tantia. Oceania is comprised of the northern archipelago, and contains the Northern Free Kingdoms. It contains from west to east the Kingdom of Eren, the Kingdom of Fahyrst, the Elven Principalities, and the Dwarven Kingdom of Daford.
Europe is the eastern portion of the main double continent. It is primarily Imperial, and also contains a number of city-states along the coast, as well as the Kingdom of Tono to the far south. It is separated from Tantia by a narrow land bridge to the north and the Archipelagic Sea to the south.
Tantia is the vast western portion of the main double continent. It is wholly Imperial, and the Imperial capital lies deep in its heart.
Gaea is a planet with half the radius of Earth but the same gravity. A day is 24 hours, and a year is 340 days. Its seas have currents that go directly past all land, causing Antarctica to have already been discovered on this planet - in fact, a major trade route passes right by it. There is a cruise ship which travels from east to west using these major currents and performs annual circumnavigation, stopping at the Vastic Islands in the middle of the Vastal Ocean for resupply. Between Oceania and Tantoeuropa lies the North Ocean. The other major body of oceanwater is the Archipelagic Sea, containing the Human province of Archipelago. While technically connected to the Vastal Ocean, it does not have any currents which lend to easy sea trade between the two. Finally, there is the Pretannik Sea, which is a brackish lagoon connected to the North Sea by a marshy landbridge.
Gaea has two major mountain ranges: the Shield Peaks in east-central Tantia and the Gold Hills in western Tantia. Despite the name, the Gold Hills are not mere hills but rather an imposing mountain range. The Shield Peaks are a massif, while the Gold Hills are a more traditionally-formed mountain range, similar to the Sierra Nevada or the Alps. Despite this, the Shield Peaks still have the taller mountains between the two, containing all ten of the tallest peaks worldwide.
There are three total jet streams, weaving in such a way that they minimize rain shadows. In fact, there are only two deserts globally: the Desolation of Gusu in southern Europe and the Shield Wastes. The Shield Wastes occupy part of south-central Tantia, and stretch from the plains to the heart of the Shield Peaks. What little water does flow through this area comes from snowmelt to the east.
In the skies above, a number of planets have been recognized. Hermes is a Jovian and is the closest to the sun, Solis. Further out past Gaea are Ares, a red rocky planet; Midas, a golden rocky planet; Hades, an ice planet; and Magica, a Neptunian planet.
