You feel an icy calm grip you as Miss Wormwood writhes against you. You roll to one side, freeing yourself, and grip your wand. Rising from the other side of the table, you bark out a spell, striking Vindicatrix's wand from her hand.

You suck in a quick breath, prepared to press your advantage against Barbara Torch's assailant.

"You kitten, you scarecrow," she hisses, scrabbling for her wand.

"Don't you," you snap at her. "Don't."

She leaps. "ACCIO!" you invoke, summoning her wand into your hand.

While Vindicatrix is caught at a disadvantage, you call for help. "Stentor," you invoke, then in a grand blast of sound, "FEAR, FIRE, FOES, HELP!"

"Swear!" you say. "Swear you will give up and never try to hurt Barbara Torch again!"

"Gorgon!" Vindicatrix hisses. Her face screws up in bitter anger.

"That is only the truth," Euryale says. "I advise you you consider your fate with some urgency." With one hand on her wand, she moves the other to the hem of her veil.

"I surrender," Vindicatrix says.

"Repeat after me..." Euryale begins.

Vindicatrix swears a binding oath. You sense a knot of magic tied tightly into her aura, into her will itself.

"It is done," Euryale says. She raises her wand. "I banish thee, I banish thee, I banish thee. APO PONTOS!"

A hurricane blast of wind catches up Vindicatrix, tumbles her head over heels, and she vanishes.
