Chapter 6 by Gatsha Gatsha

What's next?

Gaia Daughter sees the water park.

At the edge of the island, just off shore and out on the water, was an enormous water park... At least, that was what Gaia Daughter thought it looked like. It was almost completely covered in different sea-green tents of various elevations, but peeks of what looked like a roller coaster clearly shined through. It was clearly enormous, in human standards, at least. Was that really some sort of traveling event? Gaia Daughter knew little about traveling events, and even less about amusement parks. Nonetheless, even from here, she could hear the sounds of laughter... Laughter that didn't sound human.

"Looks like a grand old time, huh? Anyway, we've got Fishfreak locked up there. We knew she was a bad sort, but had no clue of what to do with her. Lucky you happened to show when you did."

"... Hold." Gaia Daughter held her hand forward again, with urgency this time. "You are saying you have the daughter of the sea stored in that location?"

"Exactly. 'Daughter of the sea...?'" Jervale questioned, beginning to question if trying to keep up with all of this terminology would be worth the payoff. "In any case, yes."

"Then there is no time to waste. I am afraid you have made a grave error and imprisoned her in the worst possible location. The sea and its creatures give her power. I must make haste."

"Yes, please, see that you do..." Jervale's grin began to fall. He didn't know what he liked, but he was sure it wasn't being told he'd made a grave error. "Once you've taken part in the festivities and seen Fishfreak, you'll be free to leave. If I might suggest, try the roller coaster when you get in. It'll take you straight to her! It's the fastest way to get around the park. Now, if you like, I'll give you a-"

Before Jervale could continue, the heroine had made a running jump from the tower, defying gravity as she performed a graceful flip in mid-air. She shot like a bullet towards the shore, rotating mid-air to land on her feet in the sand. Throughout the entire maneuver, her long, conservative dress was held in place, avoiding even a hint of fanservice.

"... Lift." Jervale finished, clenching his hand that had been offered in a gentlemanly gesture into a fist. "Ugh. Pretending to be a gentleman is getting exhausting. I'll teleport to the end and watch from a distance..."
