Gaia Daughter arrives at the water park.

Even the ordinarily unshakable Gaia Daughter, who had seen generations of humans come and go, was left gaping at what she was seeing. This park... was uncanny. "This is... truly the most unfortunate place for the daughter of the sea to have reached!"

Had any human ever held a carnival like this? Maybe it was some sort of alien tradition? Whatever the case, Gaia Daughter found herself staring at a huge, fish-covered banner stating "WELCOME TO THE CARNIVAL" and covered in multi-colored fish decorations. There was a strange scent in the air, which the inhuman heroine would have no reason to recognize as a generous supply of air freshener provided by hanging fish-shaped ornaments dangling from the canopy and seeming to hang on every surface possible. A variety of demon minions ran around enjoying various sea-life themed carnival games, visible inside the park from where she stood. But with all of this in mind the strangest thing was the pale blue floor of the inflatable raft. Indeed, all of these light structures ahead of her seemed to have been built on some kind of barge, as if a single stray pin could bring the whole thing apart.

Back to the strangeness of the entrance. Beneath the banner was a two-level staircase on either side of a large, closed hatch door with a drawing of a winking cartoon fish. It didn't appear to have an obvious opening mechanism. At the top of the stairs was the park proper. Gaia Daughter ignored the strange hatch set between the rubbery blue walls of the structure and proceeded up the stairs calmly. She glanced down to note that the stairs were a platform that seemed to have been constructed over two vast, smooth hills of the inflatable structure... Could there somehow be a tunnel system bent into the raft? What construction would lead to that shape? She decided to ignore it.

Immediately upon stepping inside, she would notice a new bizarre attraction that also happened to be fortunate for her. Just at the cleft of those two hills where they formed a single level surface, the start of the roller coaster came into view. Posts and a gate had been set up to direct the long line behind it. The heroine knew what this was and frowned impatiently. "I don't have time..."

"Attention valued CUStomers!" a woman's bubbly voice came over the loudspeakers set up around the park. It was a strange voice with a bit of a hoarse rasp to it in spite of its cheerfulness, but that wasn't unusual, considering it probably belonged to one of the inhuman creatures here. "I hope you're ENjoying you're stay here at FIIISHLAAAND! I've been TOLD we may have VISitors from out of town here in the park! To enSURE those guests enjoy their limited TIME here, I enCOURage them to take advanTAGE of the VIP guest ACCESS LINES! Those will help you CUT through the CROWD in a jiffy and enJOY the MAIN ATTRAAACTIOOON!"

"Convenient," Gaia Daughter thought to herself. She had to assume Jervale had arranged this for her...
