Fuu uses her weakened powers to win the day

Fuu tightened her grip on the spear. This battle would be far from easy.

The Swamp Troll gave a massive, deep bellow, noise echoing out from its chest as it threw its arms wide in rage. Whatever pain it had suffered at the hands of the guards was now transformed in to fury and all of it was directed straight at Fuu.

It wasted no more time before charging directly at her, one massive limb pulled back for a swing. Fuu held her ground until the last possible second before dashing out of the way, counting on the Troll's momentum to carry it past her. The creature was quicker than she expected, however. It wasn't quite able to turn on a dime, but the troll still managed to swing its momentum around much more quickly than Fuu was expecting, and she found herself much less prepared as it ran at her again.

"It looks like Fuu is in a bit of a pinch! Is she truly no match for the creature?!" Fuu felt a twinge of annoyance at the announcer's ongoing commentary. As the troll rushed her again, she jumped, running up the length of its arm and jumping again over its head. Fuu did a quick acrobatic flip, slashing across the back of its neck with her spear before landing nimbly on her feet behind it.

"BRRAAAAGGH!" the troll bellowed, it rage only deepened, but Fuu knew the wound wouldn't last. Troll could regenerate, after all. She had learned as much back in the temple. Focusing, Fuu let her mind find that place of serenity occupied fully by the Goddess. The light was dim, but present. She would only have one shot at this.

"What is Fuu doing? It looks like the troll is going to run her right over! Does she have some sort of plan?!" Fan'Zwi'Tzal's booming voice didn't register with Fuu. Her eyes stayed locked on the troll. It rushed her once more, this time reaching out to grab her.

Narrowing her eyes, Fuu held her ground. Even as it barreled down on her, Fuu didn't flinch a muscle until... With movement as quick as lightning and fluid as the ocean, Fuu drove her spear upward into the creature's throat. At the same time, she allowed the energy of the Goddess to flow through her, emanating as beams of pure sunlight from the tip of her spear.

The sunlight turned to monster's flesh to stone, ruining the creature's regenerative capabilities just an instant before Fuu's attack smashed that stone asunder. The troll had no time to realize what had happened as it's life vanished in an instant. Fuu pushed the weight of it away from her with her spear, the creature's body collapsing to the ground with an echoing thud.

Fire and sunlight-- the two things that could kill a troll. Fuu was just lucky she had access to one of them.

"Stars above! Fuu has done it! What an impressive display from our challenger!" Fan'Zwit'Zal's excited yelling was less of a nuisance now that Fuu didn't need to focus any more. "Lets hear it for Fuu Teoming!"

Smiling, Fuu turned to the crowd, pointing her spear up in the air in victory. After a moment, she spotted the faces of Liv, Emmaline, and Robin smiling back at her.
