Forest

It was a bright, sunny day. Something that many inhabitants of the forest of Gnoll considered to be normal, going about their day. The bugs skittered about, bunnies hopped gleefully, and the birds chirped in unison. It was the epitome of tranquility.

HUM...

Alas, it was bound to be destroyed.

A large, blue rift appeared above the canopy of trees, causing all of the previously joyful critters to scurry as fast as their appendages could carry them.

What dropped out could only be described as a bullet, as it was moving too quickly for the naked eye to follow.

BAM!

However, there was no real reason to worry. The ‘thing' that had slammed into a tree just now was none other than Aria, who could only mentally curse the karmic gods as she slid from the branch she had landed on and fell to the ground, landing on her face.

She'd lie here for a while...
