Follow the smaller path

You follow the smaller path to the Green Mountains, and after a few hours, you notice a big circle of tents, stitched together with bone and ropes, dozens of cages, and a big pit. In the middle, there's a bonfire and the goblins are patrolling the area using torches, they are armed with slings and bows. They speak in their guttural tongue and they don't notice you.

Their camp strategically blocks the only pass through the foothills, a bottleneck of sharpened stakes, and bones. They’re not an army, they are more like a pack of thieves lying in wait for travelers foolish enough to wander this way. You count at least 25 of them.

You have a few options.
You can ignore the camp and pass stealthily, using an invisibility spell, or infiltrate the camp at night looking for useful items in your quest, but you have to save your magic in case you have to defend yourself.
