Follow the Captain

Kirie was trying to make sense of everything, Eve had tried to free Clarissa but had failed, Alice had managed to save Lina even if it was a bit rough, there had been a gunshot behind them, and now Sasha and Nicole who were guarding the rear had just up and vanished. Even worse, as Kirie listened closely she could hear the sound of lots of footsteps echoing throughout the tunnels and she couldn't tell from where.

"Captain, we need to cut our losses, this way isn't working," Felicia insisted.

Captain Kirie gritted her teeth and held back from telling the SpecOps soldier what she thought of that plan. It made sense, as much as she didn't like that, but Kirie had one of her squad stuck to the roof, the other recovering from a pretty high fall. Plus now two more had vanished with the only trace being a left behind rifle, which she was pretty certain they didn't leave intentionally.

She had no idea where Nicole or Sasha had ended up and no idea how to recover Clarissa from her secure mounting up there. At least Lina could be carried until she recovered enough to walk on her own... but Kirie wondered what she should do.
