Flower of the Fae

"Okay, not the best job in the world, but if it pays the bills," Jeremy said as he was mopping the floor of the back room while the final shipment of products from the new exhibit was finally delivered.

Jeremy had just started this iob a month ago after healing up from a bad accident. He had been doing well in life, but after getting hit in his car on the highway, it left him with some nerve damage, which made him walk with a limp and also caused other issues as well.

Jeremy could no longer get an erection and had actually lost a lot of feeling in his sex organ which made pleasure almost impossible for him. His position at his previous company was dissolved while he was out as well, leaving him jobless for a long time. His fiance, who had been very supportive at first eventually left him because she couldn't live with someone who couldn't sexually satisfy her, leaving Jeremy at a very low point in his life as he was now a janitor with nerve damage.

He was trying to keep his head up with the hope that things were going to get better, but it wasn't looking good for him. He had to downgrade to a smaller apartment and settle for this job at the museum that was about to change his life.

As he walked by the storage room where the rest of the items were being stored, he peeked inside. The room was filled with wooden crates with strange markings on them. The hairs on the back of his neck stood up as he knew something wasn't right about this stuff. He had already heard stories of where it had come from and some strange things happening to people who messed with it.

It was then that he noticed a smaller crate on the corner table that was open. As he got closer to it, he noticed a strange-looking plant inside a pot. It was a flower that almost seemed to be glowing a little, giving off a faint yellow light which he found fascinating as he approached it.

"Wow, that's a beautiful flower," he said as he got closer to it. "I wonder where these grow? Maybe I can...... what the?" He said as the plant sprayed him with this strange powder, making him cough and back away. "What the Hell? What is this stuff?" He said as he brushed it off his uniform, noticing the scent, which was very pleasant, but he still wasn't sure what it was.

"This is the last of it," he heard a voice say out in the hallway.

"Shit, I'm not supposed to be in here," he said to himself as he quickly hid behind a crate.

Two men came in holding one more small wooden box and headed to the back to the room. Jeremy waited and then used this opertunity to leave the room unseen and get to a place where nobody would notice him. He grabbed his mop and bucket and started washing the floor, acting like he had been doing this the whole time as the two men exited the room and locked it, nodding to him as they walked by.

"That was close," Jeremy said as he could still smell that strange scent on his clothing. "I need to take a shower."
