First Contact

The Colony at Nirvana Six really was pretty unremarkable, or at least it had been up until a few days ago. Now it was the centre of one of the biggest events in human history. Three days ago a massive, twenty kilometres long alien ship had appeared around the colony and began to beam incomprehensible alien signals at it.

“How the hell are we supposed to fight that thing?” Joanna had asked when she’d first seen it.

“We’re not” Michelle said “There’s three carrier groups arrayed down the orbit from it ready to strike if it proves hostile, we’re just here to provide security to the diplomats. They translated the language a few hours ago, the aliens want a chance to send someone down to the planet to chat.”

“Sounds mushy, why are we here?” Joanna asked as their shuttle fell away from the special operations cruiser.

“In case they’re not actually here to talk” Michelle sat back, running one final check on her plasma gun. “The Federation wanted the best here in case things got hostile… no offence but regular marines aren’t so good at handling the unknown”

Joanna shrugged “none taken” she leant back, checking her carbine out of nerves and habit. It was still odd to her to go into battle basically in the nude, her stealth suit was so tight that it showed her navel… hell it showed her pussy. Not that she really minded Michelle seeing her pussy.

Michelle chuckled “I guess I should be glad I’m invisible down there or you’d get distracted newbie”

Joanna blushed under her mask and looked away. The shuttle began it’s final decent and then landed with a hiss. “Ok, everyone out” Michelle ordered, the troops engaged their stealth gear and quickly disembarked, heading towards the settlement ahead.

There were regular marines and colonial militia guarding the entrance to the settlement but an officer took the Special Forces through their cordon. Not that the marines could have spotted them if they’d tried to sneak by.

Joanna’s team, Michelle, Inez and a girl named Rachel were set up covering the square where the aliens were due to land. If there was trouble then they’d be the first in action. There were several tanks and armoured vehicles set up as well, along with a woman in her thirties dressed far more formally.

“Here they come” Michelle whispered. Joanna looked up and saw a silver disk rapidly descending to hover above the square. It was large, big enough to block out the light. A beam of energy connected the shuttle to the square and something stepped out of it.

Joanna strained for a first look at the aliens.
