Chapter 3 by PiZzA101 PiZzA101

What happens next?

Fire Alarm

You had been in the process of taking your half hour shower after practice. The **** length of your showers at practice was due in part to the fact that an unlimited, consistent supply of hot water was not something guaranteed fully at your dorm.

Then, without any warning, the lights of the shower room flickered for a moment, followed by a loud boom from somewhere else in the stadium. You were initially shocked, and wheeled around with a raised eyebrow wondering what could have made a noise equivalent to the boom of thunder on a bright sunny day.

Two minutes later, as you had just finished rinsing off the soap, you heard the fire alarm trip, and blaring sirens echoed through the entire building. The lights of the shower room suddenly cut off, with only a single red light illuminating the room from the center. The building appeared to have lost power, and had resorted to using the emergency power for lighting.

You quickly opened the door of your shower stall, turning the knob as you stepped out into the main shower room. You eyed the wall, and noticed your towel, as well as all your gym clothes, were missing. You groaned, realizing that this was probably some sort of prank pulled by your teammates, that had been poorly timed with a coinciding fire in the building.

You quickly paced your way back into the main locker room, looking up and down the aisles for some sort of spare cover. Going out naked wasn’t an option in your book, on account of the fact that you’d likely see the volleyball team when you exited the building, in addition to whoever else happened to be on campus. So you decided that finding something to wear, even if it was half-functioning or worse, was crucial. Unfortunately, with only the light of a single emergency light for the entire locker room, you had almost nothing in the way of visibility.

Do you find anything?
