Find Fava.

Yin explains that Fava has moved in to a small home not far from here. She's been getting help from a few others to slowly bring her equipment one trip at a time up and down the rocky, tree-covered terrain outside of the castle walls. Though there's still a lot left, she's been able to start a brand new laboratory here instead. It may not be as large, or have strange things like a magic bondage wheel game machine, but having a tinkering resident will certainly prove to be helpful. So you, Eva, Amara, Niki, Lynx, Peony, and Yin make your way down the road, a block or so away, to the house in question.

It looks to only be a couple rooms, though there's a window above leading into what must be an attic, as it's too small to be a full second floor. The window is open, and a ladder leads up into it. Below that is the front door, and another window adjacent, though the blinds are closed so you can't see inside.

"Well, we have to head up," you say. Then all of the sudden, you take hold of Eva's sides and nudge the girl head of you. "Go ahead. You first, Eva. Up up."

She takes hold of the lower rungs, but then one again, her face lights up like a Christmas tree. After a moment of trembling hands against the ladder, she turns to you with an enraged expression. "Uhm. No, no. You go first."

"I insist."

Her attention turns to the other girls who stare back at her with confusion. As a gentle breeze wafts by, she shivers, and tugs down on her miniskirt self-consciously. There's yet another long moment of contemplation before she turns to you once again. "I hate you."

"Do you remember what Kitty Sense does?" you whisper back into her ear. "It isn't hate that I sense."

Now squeezing the rung with all her might she starts muttering, "Shut up shut up shut up," over and over. Heavy panting comes from her lips as it looks as if her heart is going to race right out of her chest. But then she takes in a stuttering inhale, and a smile appears, yet only you can see it as she faces the ladder in front of her. She finally works up the courage. Though her leg wobbles, she lifts it up to place onto the bottom rung. Then, she moves up to the next one. The excitement is clearly getting to her. Yes, all the people around her have not only seen her nude but have seen far more than that, yet the thrill of her being outdoors surrounded by anyone is clearly more than enough to get her there. The thrill never subsides, no matter the history she has with those around her.

Then the door opens. Fava is there, though in her Alice-like body. Her loose, baggy trousers filled with pockets hang from her hips low enough to tease the V of her pelvis, as it seems said pockets are even more stuffed than usual, and her hair is even messier than usual. "What's happening out here?" she asks.

Eva stares at her, and then at you. "... Why did you ask me to climb the ladder if we could use the door?!"

"I don't know. I thought it'd be funny," you reply.

She hops down and immediately starts smacking your arm, though not hard enough to hurt. Though as she does, Peony comes up behind her and gives her an affectionate embrace.

"I'm sure my husband only had your best intentions in mind," Peony says as she strokes the bunny's hair.

"Your husband, huh? You say that a lot, but I don't see a ring," she grumbles as she accepts the fate of being in the dryad's arms.

"What ring?" she asks.

You look to Fava in the meantime. "I got something you might wanna look at," you say. "You're the most knowledgeable one here when it comes to contraptions, and with Mina gone, you're also the only artificer here. In my hand, I have an item straight from Earth, and--"

"You're going to let me work on something from another world?! That's like every artificer's dream! Hand it over immediately!"

"Calm down. Let's head inside, and I'll explain it so you don't hurt yourself."
