Fighting Li

"Wow... Your voice friends are real rude... Albino Goblin... Oversized Bat... How callous," Li states feigning hurt as they stare down at the four women.

"Going down the stairs during this fight will be treacherous, we should hurry, Cherchiel here," Yulia says giving the daggers over to her as Goma sounds the horn, "try to keep Li off of us as we descend," Yulia suggests and Cherchiel nods.

"You think I'm going to let you reach the tunnel? How presumptuous!" Li cackles and then spreads their arms and a smooth blue light appears in each of their hands and then they throw their hands forward and fire out a beam of the blue light towards the group, "taste my master's power!" Li screams.

Isalia rushes forward raising her shield to block the beam and gasps as the beam hits her shield and knocks her back onto her ass. Goma rushes over and helps Isalia to her feet as Li begins to charge another beam, but is interrupted as a throwing dagger stabs into their side, they screech in pain as the area stabbed begins to immediately turn red and looks like a pretty serious burn, "Oh that's right! Demons don't much like silver do they!" Cherchiel yells up at Li who glares at her, a second dagger is thrown, but Li deftly dodges it, "go, quickly!" Cherchiel yells.

The three women, with Cherchiel lagging behind a bit, tossing daggers anytime Li tries to attack, descend down the crater stairs.

"You can't keep this up for ever! You don't have enough daggers!" Li screams, dodging another thrown dagger. The group make it to the bottom and hurry into the tunnel, but unfortunately Cherchiel seems to have almost run out of daggers.

"What now?" Isalia asks.

"There's no way Li will come after us in here and I don't think we have enough daggers to win a protracted battle with them outside of this tunnel," Cherchiel responds as they huddle a short distance into the tunnel.

"Then we just make this a battle of attrition," Yulia says and casts blizzard, filling the entirety of Crater Under with the storm. Li screeches as they are buffeted by the suddenly falling ice.

"Either they come in here, or they can stay out there and eventually get taken out by the blizzard," Yulia explains.

"Demons generally have pretty good resistance to cold, similar to angels having resistance to heat, but I guess that doesn't extend to being smacked with large pieces of solid ice," Cherchiel responds with a grin.

The group simply wait in the tunnel as the blizzard rages.

What seems like hours pass before Isalia speaks, "Goma... You're the most nimble and quick of us... Do you think you could just run to the tunnel entrance and see if you can tell what's happening out there?" Isalia asks and Goma nods. She rushes to the tunnel entrance and stares out into the cavern proper.

"Batty dead," Goma answers after a few seconds and the rest of the group cautiously move to the entrance. They don't spot Li immediately, their form hidden beneath a blanket of ice and snow. They're huddled near the monolith, seemingly trying to seek shelter near it, but it didn't work. Yulia approaches cautiously, not dispelling the Blizzard. Li's form is badly beaten, struck repeatedly and unceasingly by the harsh storm until it seems they simply couldn't take any more.

"Looks like we did it," Yulia says, drawing her rapier and stabbing the corpse just to be sure. That done they return to the tunnel, the Illustone is a simple brittle black stone, almost like graphite, but with a strange shine to it that seems to reflect colours at random when ever it catches light. It's not hard to break off a piece from the main mass and Yulia holds it, looking at it curiously, "alright... we got what we came for... Do we go straight to the Mind Eaters, or... do we go talk to Liloth first?" she asks.
