Fast Times at Azure Rocks High (Sammuroth)

( This is my first attempt at writing a story on here. I am normally a fantasy and comic book story type of writer, so this is also my first attempt at doing slice of life. I also don't think I am that great at sex scenes so be kind when I get to those please. I am hoping to post a chapter every other day, but that will obviously depend on whether I get writer's block or something like that XD Anywho I hope you enjoy my first attempt at this and feel free to give any advice and critiques to improve my writing)

Fast Times at Azure Rocks High

18-year-old Zachary Bishop stared at himself in the mirror of his bathroom. His wet hair still plastered to his head from his recent shower. The young man, who was starting his senior year at Azure Rocks High, was by no means ugly. He had short dark brown hair, icy blue eyes and perhaps a lanky, but still well defined build. One look at Zack and people thought he was an athlete, like basketball and he had tried out for the school team several times, but fate seemed to conspire against him in that regard. He was a decent player, with a killer three-point shot, but sickness had caused his first attempt to try out to bomb due to his still recovering. The last time he tried out, he felt he had done fairly well, but still hadn’t made the team, he couldn’t prove it but Zack was sure the coach, Mr. Adams, didn’t like him for some reason.

Still, despite not being an athlete with his handsome features and decent build you would think Zack had a healthy social life. He did have a couple of close friends, but he was what most would consider a nerd or geek. He enjoyed video games, reading mysteries, comic books and the like. That fact unfortunately made him less popular than one would think, not that he was disliked, Zack was a kind and caring person. He was easy to talk to and always made you feel like you had his undivided attention when you talked to him about something. Despite his best friend being a girl and spending a lot of time with his female cousin, Zack’s nerdiness made him naturally anxious and shy around pretty women. Still, Zack was well liked by the majority of his peers, and he did his best to get along with everyone.

Zack sighed as he looked at himself in the mirror, “Senior year and no girlfriend and still a virgin, how pathetic is that?” Logically Zack knew that it wasn’t that uncommon, but growing up around his sister’s best friend Hannah Woodsen and her seemingly endless teasing and talks about guys she had fucked in high school made it seem like Zack’s high school days were pathetic and boring. The young man shook his head as he started to get dressed, Zack was a romantic at heart and while he didn’t think there was anything wrong with that, it didn’t really help him with his dating life. He had ruined one relationship with his ex Lisa Rivera, because he had been pining and crushing over another girl.

He was always too nervous and shy around his crush to ask her out and in an attempt to move on from her he had dated Lisa, a curvy and busty latina with wavy black hair. However, both he and Lisa knew he was always thinking of someone else and they had ended their relationship after only a few months. Zack hated himself for how he had treated Lisa, but as the old saying goes, the heart wants what the heart wants, though that still didn’t assuage Zack’s guilt. As he finished getting dressed his black cat Orion, rubbed against his leg, looking for pets. Zack smiled and obliged, “This year has got to be different buddy. I have to get closer to my crush and finally ask her out. I can’t keep going like this…” His thoughts were interrupted by a female voice calling down the stairs, “Hurry up Zack, you are already running late!” Zack smiled at his mother’s voice, giving Orion a few more pets before steeling his determination and walking up the stairs, trying to promise himself that this year would be different.
