Fall down the hole to the monsters

You look over the options, but you feel the female path has to be the safest option. Especially now. You might also be able to find a way to backtrack to the portcullis through the cave route. Maybe walking through the room again would change you back. It's worth a shot.

Unfortunately the footing here isn't as sure as you had thought. You step towards the center passage, the one with a female image on the floor. Your foot slides across the rough looking rock and you realize too late that the floor is covered with a nearly invisible layer of glass. You grasp at the wall but there are no handholds and the rock is wet and slippery.

The momentum of your fall causes you to slide down the passage on the left. You drop your torch and it skitters across the ground and down the hole, the last thing it illuminates before going over the edge is the carved symbol for monsters under the polished glass floor. In the darkness you try to get a firm grip, you try to press your feet against the walls, you try everything, but you're traveling too quickly.

Your head and shoulders drop into the hole and you tumble down into the room below. As luck would have it someone put thick mats of spongy black moss at the bottom. You jump to your feet and try to look around, but there's no one around, just a circular stone chamber with a single doorway. Looking up you see the chamber narrow to a tiny opening about twenty feet up. Looking down you see your torch sitting on top of the moss. For some reason the dry moss doesn't seem to be burning.

You check you're alright and collect your torch, then turn and stare at the open doorway and the short hall beyond.
