Extra Short Story: Midoriya's Pervert Lessons

"Young Midoriya, I wanted to talk to you about how you are with the ladies."

"HUuUh?" Midoriya shrieked from his chair.

"I know you've been excelling with One for All, so far. I'm sure you'll be able to master it before you can make your official debut as a pro hero. However... I think there's something else you need to improve. Midoriya, you can stand to be a bit pervier, from time to time."

Midoriya's tongue clogged his throat and he could barely get any words out.

"All Might. I... You should know I'm not that kind of guy. I get really nervous around girls."

"I know. That's exactly why you need to practice."

"Why would I need to practice that? What does being a pervert have to do with hero work?"

All Might let out a quiet, polite chortle, "My boy. I'm afraid that, sometimes, it is a crucial part of the job. Heroics aside, your public image is important, if you want to climb the ranks to number 1."

All Might's response really shook Midoriya. He didn't think being the Number 1 Hero should be a popularity contest.

"Don't get it twisted. Being a great hero is about your want to do good and having the courage to make it happen. But... if you're going to be in the public eye, having an approachable, friendly personality can be vital. Take me, for example: being the symbol of peace, I have to show that I'm never afraid and will always save the day with a smile on my face. However, it also means that I have to be polite to the ladies of the world. I can't be rude, by ignoring their knockers or pass them by without a sly complement. It would damage the image I have tried to build."

Midoriya placed his hand to his chin in thought: "I guess that makes sense. I wouldn't want to get a bad reputation."

Midoriya looked to his teacher, quizzically, "Could you give some examples of what I could do, when I'm out on the field?"

All Might paused and nervously began to rub the back of his head.

"Well... shoot. Kind of putting me on the spot, young Midoriya," he said, sheepishly, with a slight blush on his cheeks.

Midoriya could deduce by his reaction that All Might was not necessarily proud to give this kind of lesson to the young student.

"Ooh. What to... tell you? Oh, okay. If you ever need to carry a female civilian, for whatever reason, don't be nervous about being handsy. Cup her butt. Feel her curves. Smell her hair. It's going to feel very weird to do but, believe me, she'll be really pleased and thankful about it when all is said and done. Do you get what I'm saying?"

Midoriya just stared, red-faced and open-jawed. His eyes flitted around hysterically. To even think of doing something... to a girl!!!

"Young Midoriya?"

"S-sorry, A-all Might. I'm l-listening."

"Okay, here's one more: when you save a female hostage, whose has been tied up with ropes, be sure to "accidently" cop a feel, when you untie her. Like, grab her boob or brush your hand over her bottom, or something. But, you have to make it look like you're trying to be covert about it."

Midoriya nervously laughed, "Wow, Mr. Aizawa never taught us about any of that."

"Yeah, well, he wouldn't," All Might chuckled, thinking of his fellow member of staff who had more than a few complaints of his "prudish" behaviour.

"Y'know. That last one actually reminds me of something," said Midoriya, as he cast his mind back to the USJ.

"I remember Mineta had gone to hug Asui, but had kind of ended up groping her in the process. I assumed it was accidental but, knowing Mineta, maybe he had done it intentionally."

Clapping his hands together, All Might exclaimed, "There we go. That's perfect. Mineta's a good example of a young pervert. You should ask him for advice. He'd be better, anyway. He's more of a natural pervert. Don't tell anyone, but I kind of have to put it on when it is appropriate."

"Right."

Midoriya may have agreed but the trepidation about the subject of girls had not subsided with All Might's talk. Midoriya knew for a fact: he was terrible with girls. Being quirkless had never helped his chances with popularity, to start. On top of that, he was prone to crying and had been weak and scrawny up until last year. Plus, he wasn't particularly handsome either. Throw his inability to perv (or even talk to girls) on top of that, and it had been a recipe in disaster.

Deku was a creep, to be stayed far away from.

...

Maybe... Maybe, if he asked... Mineta could change that.

There was no harm in trying at least.
