Exploring Time!

We enter and I look around. I see a we're in a stone chamber. The ceiling is about twenty feet above me and the room is equally as big. The door behind us closes and there's only one exit.

"Let's get your armor on and add you to the party." I tell Luna while I swap to mine and take hers out. I help her put it on and curse myself in my thoughts for not doing this before we entered. I add her to my party and tell her to tap accept. Once she does I see a picture of her face appear with her HP and MP bars. After she tightens the last strap she pulls out her claws and looks at me.

"Let's go!" She says and starts walking to the doorway. The doorway has no door but is filled with an inky darkness. I reach out and touch it causing it to retreat. The room beyond comes into view and I see three tall stone creatures. I quickly use Observe on them while reading my blade.

"Get ready." I tell Luna while taking my claws and boots out. I decide to try to save my mana and not cast Ancient Beastial Strength since it lasts for only an hour. Luna starts running at one of the golems and I decide to follow after her. It raises one of its stone arms to hit her and she jumps. She slashes her claws across it while landing and jumps back, avoiding another attack as it swings its other arm at her.

"This is so cool!" Luna says charging another golem. The remaining two golems are next to one another now. Luna try's to attack one but the other stops her by making her dodge. I decide to try my new magic.

"LUNA GET OUT OF THE WAY!" I shout and she turns to look at me confused but does as I said. She quickly moves and jumps back, putting about ten feet between them. I cast Annihilation Energy and create a wave of dark grey energy and send it at the golems. The golems try to get out of the way but are too slow. The wave crashes on them and they get carried away.

"Holy shit. Your amazing Alpha!" Luna says running to me and jumping on me, embracing me in a hug. I chuckle and start petting her. After she pulls away we pick up the drops and I check my mana. FUCK, that used up 291 of my mana! That's almost three Ancient Beast Slashes. My thoughts are stopped by Luna. "What are these?" She asks holding one of the drops. It's a small blue crystal in a heart shape.

"These must be the Crystal Hearts that we need to collect. Here I'll store them in my inventory." I say taking the two crystals she has. I pick up the third and store them away. "So mobs won't drop materials or items here, but I can apparently find chests that can have items or money." I say thinking aloud. Luna giggles and I turn to her, a little embarrassed. "Sorry, I was thinking out loud."

"Don't worry, I liked it." She says hugging me again. I smile nervously and look around. I see three doorways we can go through, all full of the inky darkness.

"Well Luna, which way should we go? Also don't run ahead like that okay?" I ask and she apologizes and points to my left.

"Asami said we should go keep along the edges. The bosses always appear within the center of the floor and going around the edges will allow us to get a feel for this. And sorry, I was exited to fight my first monster." I pet and praise her, saying she fought well, causing her to hug me tighter and her tails to wag. We go to the left doorway and I reach out. The darkness fades away again and reveals two more Stone Golems. This time Luna waits before running at them.

"Let's each take one. Then whoever finishes theirs first will help the other." I quickly say and she nods. We each pick one and charge them. It's now I start feeling a bit smug. Between my Dodge skill, Thought Acceleration and my recent Agility boosts it's easy to avoid their attacks. I quickly finish mine off and turn to Luna. I see her jump over the golems arm and slash its head with each of her claws. It stumbles back, either in pain or because it's dazed, and she presses her advantage. She runs up and gets another two hits off, this time on its side and shoulder. The golem falls and, including mine, I get 800 Exp and 419$ from them. I store the Crystal Hearts away and see two more rooms to go.

"Good job Luna." I say when she walks next to me and looks up at me. She smiles and we walk to the doorway straight ahead. I reach out and the darkness fades away again. This time however we don't see any golems. We step inside and the door behind us closes in a bright white light. The light fades and reveals a sturdy stone door. "Any ideas on what this is?" I ask her while reading my weapon.

"Maybe? Asami said that most Ruins contain Mini Boss rooms. This might be one but they're rarely on the first floor so she said not to worry about them." I nod and across the room the wall opens up. On the other side is a beast twice my height. It is pushing the wall open and has a massive metal sword on its back. It has two horns and a long mouth like a wolfs. It has a long mane of red fire starting from its head and running down its spine I use Observe on it quickly.
