Yadra shrugged. “Suit yourself. You’ll either find us back here or at the Crawling Beta inn over that way. That’s where we always stay.”

Alea left the marketplace, thinking to look for any mystic artist techniques and weapons they had and gauge their prices. She knew she couldn’t afford anything like that for now, but maybe someday…

Alea listened around for any information on the two combatants, one of whom was already visible on the stage, pacing back and forth as she tightened the wrappings around her knuckles.

Apparently one of these two mystic artists had left on a mission some time ago. While she was gone, her opponent had taken liberties with her cultivation vessels and even stolen one of her slaves. Feeling her honor had been besmirched, the futa had to challenge the perpetrator to a duel, and a high stakes one at that.

“This isn’t just a duel to first blood, it’s a battle to submission! Between two disciples, both of them at the fifth layer of resolve condensation!” A bystander said.

“Oh wow, that means we’re in for a real treat.” A second bystander added.

“Heck yeah! You see how hot those girls in the Throbbing Immortal Fist sect get? That’s because of how much resolve they accumulate. The more powerful they get closer they get to perfecting their physical forms. Having that much resolve makes them a tempting target, though. Whoever manages to conqueror the other in this fight will walk away twice as powerful.” The first bystander said in agreement.

"So the one standing there, she's at the fifth layer?" The first bystander asked.

"Yeah, that's Gelva. She's an old hand in the outer sect, and even has some administrative responsibilities in the hall of techniques." The second bystander explained.

"I can't believe they're both experts of the fifth layer! That's halfway to Foundation Establishment!" The first bystander rubbed her hands together eagerly.

“Shh! Look, her opponent’s arrived!” The second bystander bounced on her toes, eager to see someone strong stripped naked and fucked.
