Explanation Time

You soon began to explain everything to your aunt Sadie from how Harmony came to your room telling you the news to keeping the baby to how you found out about your father and the black hand to the small picnic you and Harmony had been having until she showed up.

“I see thats a lot to take in and do in such a short period time.” Your aunt said as she sat across from you with Harmony still sitting behind you with little Anthony in her arms. “So when will I get to meet my grandnephew Nathan?” Your aunt said. “Only if you promise to keep this secret I don’t want anyone to know about Harmony or Anthony last thing I need are people coming after them or for child protective services to deem us unfit because we’re students.” You said glancing back to Harmony.

Your Aunt Sadie only sighed nodding her head before Harmony looked at you and then handed you Anthony. As you held your son you smiled before speaking. “Aunt Sadie meet Anthony James BlackThorn” you said as you handed your now sleeping son to Aunt Sadie.

Your aunt carefully took her sleeping grandnephew before smiling as she looked down at Anthony. As you watched Harmony soon sat next to you wrapping her hands around your arm before your aunt looked up and spoke. “So are you two are engaged?”

“Yes we’re just gonna have a small civil ceremony and keep it a secret no need for anyone outside family to know.” You said as your Aunt Sadie handed back your son. “You know its funny Nathan because this is almost exactly how you came into the world you see your mother and father had you when they were still in school as well and much like you they kept it a secret until they graduated.”

Your aunt chuckled before continuing. “Your grandfather was more coherent back then I remember he was so pissed at your father he nearly maimed him the day before he forced him to marry your mother.” Harmony chuckled as she heard the story before you replied. “Well I assume the family kept it a secret while my parents went to school right?”

Your aunt nodded her head. “Yes they did in fact they had their marriage at the local church in Princeton in secret of course but then again the people of Princeton are a tight knit community they take care of their own.”

You nodded your head before looking to Harmony and Anthony before replying. “Perhaps next weekend we could make a trip to Princeton.” You said smiling as you stroked Anthony’s head. “I guess I’ll tell your grandmother to get another shotgun wedding set up until then you two stay out of trouble alright?” Your Aunt Sadie said to which Harmony and you only nodded your heads before your Aunt Sadie handing Harmony little Anthony before she stood up and walked away leaving the two of you alone as she disappeared into the forest once more.

As Harmony and you looked down you saw little Anthony slowly wake up happily gurgling as he opened his eyes for the first time revealing his blue and brown eyes. Harmony only squealed in delight as she began peppering her son with kisses causing little Anthony giggle in happiness. You had never imagined feeling such feelings of happiness or love as you did when you saw Harmony holding little Anthony in the air peppering him with kisses as he happily giggled and laughed all the while Harmony was smiling and laughing showing her son motherly affection you had never experienced.

As you watched the mother and son duo laugh and giggle in joy you reminisced of how Harmony had once been a cold almost mean spirited girl with sadness and anger being her constant companions and yet here you were as a sophomore the mother of your child flowing with happiness and joy as she held your son completely devoid of any of those horrible emotions you had seen in her when two of you had first met.

Yes as Harmony turned to face you holding out your son you knew she was the one you wanted to spend the rest of your life with. Harmony Ashcroft was the one girl you wanted to marry while you weren’t sure of a lot of things that is one thing that you were certain of.
