Explain What Happened

"So, let me get this straight. There was a Kablamo and every man on the face of the planet went missing?"

"Well, all expect this mook here" Harley replies, gesturing in your direction.

"And my world seemed to collide with yours?"

"So far so good, Red" you say.

"Please" she smiles "Call me MJ"

"Well, MJ" Harley interjects, with perhaps a little jealousy in her voice due to the way you've been looking at this other woman "Since then, me and him have been jumping through portals left, right, and center, trying to find the source of this clusterfuck, so we can beat the hell out of them and get everything put back to the way it was. Unfortunately, we haven't had any luck yet, and we're exhausted and need somewhere to crash for a few hours. You wouldn't fancy putting us up for a bit, would you?"

"Oh, of course" MJ says getting up from her couch and bustling to the attached kitchenette "I mean, I obviously got you both wrong thinking you were the bad guys. You're trying to sort this out with just the two of you and I can imagine how much hard work it must be. I'll make you both something to eat and then you can crash here for as long as you like. One of you can use the bedroom and the other the couch, if you want?"

"Bagsy the bedroom!" Harley yells, raising her hand "It's been ages since I slept in a proper bed"

"Then it's yours" MJ smiles sweetly, as she sets about making your some much needed nourishment "After breakfast, you can get some sleep"

You're both so tired that it's a fight to stay awake long enough to eat, but you manage to. Just about. Fed and satisfied, Harley goes to the bedroom and you stretch out on the couch.

"Don't worry about me" MJ says "I'll just get on with some work"

And with that, you fall asleep.
