Everyone went silent. Negi had never yelled at them before, with a couple exceptions. They retreated a step or two. Not out of fright, but shock.

Negi: ahem Girls, I missed you all too, but we simply cannot go on this way. I know you all want to be 'with me', but you can't all do it. It simply wouldn't be possible. Besides, this arguing is only making your friendships strain. So, I suggest we turn this into a positive thing. We'll make this a lesson in democracy. Suddenly, Negi realized this was a very bad idea. Chaos would reign no matter who won. Friends would be at each other's throats. This wasn't ego talking, either, it had happened before. Nodoka and Yue had almost stopped being friends when they both admitted to loving him. He had made a mistake, but it was too late now.

Fei-Ku: That is a great idea!

Negi sighed and began the election.
